HairAI — AI Hairstyle Try-On

Murat Can Cicek ("we", "our", or "us") built HairAI to help you preview different hairstyles and hair colors on your own photo using AI technology. Your privacy is fundamentally important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information HairAI collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Photos and Camera

HairAI requires access to your device's camera or photo library to capture a selfie for hairstyle transformation. Your photos are processed as follows:

• Your selfie is sent to our secure cloud service (Gemini AI via Cloudflare Workers) solely for the purpose of generating the hairstyle transformation.
• Photos are processed in real-time and are not stored on our servers after the transformation is complete.
• Transformed results are stored locally on your device only.
• We do not use your photos for training AI models or any other purpose.

Face Detection

HairAI uses Apple's Vision Framework to detect face positioning in your selfie. This face detection is performed entirely on your device and no facial data is transmitted to any server.

Information We Collect

HairAI collects only the following minimal data:

• Anonymous crash reports to improve app stability
• Aggregated usage statistics (e.g., feature usage counts) to improve the app experience

These analytics contain no personally identifiable information and cannot be linked back to you or your photos.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, rent, or trade your personal data or photos with any third parties. Your photos are used exclusively for generating hairstyle transformations and are not retained after processing.

Third-Party Services

HairAI uses the following third-party services:

• Google Gemini AI (via Cloudflare Workers): For AI-powered hairstyle generation. Photos are sent for processing only and are not stored.
• RevenueCat: For subscription management. RevenueCat processes only anonymous transaction data.

Advertising

HairAI does not display advertisements and does not use any ad tracking technologies.

Data Storage

All transformation history, preferences, and settings are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage mechanisms. You can delete all data at any time by deleting the app.

Data Security

Your data is protected by your device's built-in security features, including encryption and device passcode. All network communications use HTTPS encryption.

Children's Privacy

HairAI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

GDPR Compliance

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Since photos are not stored on our servers and all history is local to your device, you have full control over your data at all times.

CCPA Compliance

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion. HairAI does not sell personal information. You can delete all your data by removing the app from your device.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the app and on this page with a revised effective date.
